Then after you get a little seasoned you can be making $10-$90/hour. So you see, even if you only make $20/hour that's $160 for a regular 8 hour shift. A Day In The Life Of A Game Tester
As a video game tester you will be testing video games and filling out the company's testing assignment/survey. You see, the company sends you the game and a testing assignment to go with it. What you do is, you play through the game from every different angle and options the game allows you to. As you're playing through the game just scope out any glitches you may see and answer the simple survey, then just mail it back to them and move onto the next one.Some companies have their own local testing center you can go to. The Actual Work
The survey is fairly simple they ask basic questions like. "What was your favorite part of the game" (in single and in multi player mode). "What age group would you give this game." They will also want to know how the game play was. "Would you replay this game?". And they will always want you to rate their game from 1 to 10.As a game tester, this gets easier the more you do it. You'll be amazed to see how fast you will eventually be zipping through these games and constantly moving onto the next one. I like to set a goal and usually get it all done in withing 6 hours.
